Noah In Brady
As mentioned in an earlier post Noah hung out in Brady while we went on vacation to Boston. He loves Brady and hanging out with everyone there. While on vacation Noah went to the fireworks at Brady Lake, watched the parade go around the Brady Square and went to the carnival with his Tias and Andre.
Family Reunion
A couple of weeks ago we attended the Lafuente Family Reunion in Austin. The Lafuente Family hasn't had a huge family reunion for as long as I can remember. The last one we had was in 1988 and it only included my grandparents, parents, sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins. So this reunion was great because it included many family members we did not know we had. We were always told growing up that if we met a Lafuente, we are probably related. Wow...we are related to a lot more people than I thought. Danny, Noah and I had a great time hanging out with family. Danny and I especially enjoyed running our first 5K in one of our favorite cities in Texas. The run was organized through a family member for the reunion. I came in 1st in the women's division, my sister (Blanca) came in 3rd. Danny came in 2nd in the men's division and my brother-in-law (Hector) came in 3rd. It was awesome! I am proud of us.

Boston Pops!
Our official summer vacation this year took us to the birthplace of our nation's revolution. It worked out perfectly in that the 4th of July landed on a clear and cool Saturday. This trip also doubled as a wedding anniversary gift to one another. Boston by far is one of, if not the best major city we have ever visited. The rich history of the Boston Common and Fanueil Hall to Fenway Park and the "Big Dig" are just a few of the many attractions of the city. There are many traditions and stories that Bostonians are happy to share and for us 3 days were not enough to take it all in. Since Noah stayed with his Nana and Popo in Brady we were able to risk life and limb trying to explore as much of the city as fast as possible using all forms of transportation including a brisk walk through a cozy neighborhood called Jamaica Plains (remember scene from Natl Lampoons Vac lost in ghetto). We also hoofed it from Harvard University to a mom and pop breakfast place (walked 2 miles parallel to a street with bus route) where we enjoyed enough grease and sugar to kill a small horse. Thanks for the tip Food Network. What we'll do for blue corn and sweet potato pancakes.

Happy Father's Day
Another Father's Day has arrived and my appreciation for parenting continues to grow. My heart swells with pride in all of our toddler's milestones and can't help that my Dad felt the same for me. From a proud son, I wish my Dad a happy and healthy Father's Day.
Love,
Danny

WHAT A DAY!
Well we survived our trip to Fiesta Texas and the new Riverwalk Expansion. It was very hot. Luckly we got to cool off at the water park in Fiesta Texas. This was our first outing for the summer so check back for more. This summer we have the Lafuente Family Reunion, then Danny and I are going to Boston and I am sure we will take a few more weekend getaways with Noah.

Summertime is here!
Well it's time to get out and soak up some 102+ degree fun in the sun. Living in San Antonio guarantees that we will be able to enjoy more fair weather days than not. Today we will be going to one of our many theme parks so that Noah can take in some rides and get in the water. We have fewer weekends to do things now than ever before so quality family time is very important to us. Hopefully Noah will nap well and be ready to go full speed this afternoon (like that's ever been a problem).
Danny
